What are billing instructions?

Billing instructions are manuals which detail how the provider is to bill HRSA for covered medical services, equipment, and/or supplies provided to HRSA-eligible clients.

How do I access billing instructions on this site?

You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view files published on this site.  If you don't have Adobe for reading Portable Document Format (PDF) files, or are having problems opening our PDF files, click here.  If you already have Adobe Reader, go to the Index above.

What if I want to order a paper copy?

How can I quickly search for what I want?

The quickest way to search is to use the Search on the top of each web page.  Type your criteria, select either Provider Publications only or All HRSA sites, and click Search.

Once the search criteria is listed, click on the most relevant search result.  Once a .pdf file is displayed, use Ctrl + F to quickly find your topic on the .pdf file.

Where are the fee schedules?

Many fee schedules may still be found within the billing instructions.  However, HRSA is revising the way it provides the fee schedules.  Updated billing instructions will have hyperlinks to the fee schedule web page and fee schedules will not be found within the billing instructions.
