9/27/06 - CMS Update:

This article is based on Change Request (CR) 5245, which provides billing instructions for hospices, as well as requirements for RHHIs concerning billing for continuous home care services on separately dated line items in 15-minute time increments. It also includes information on reporting Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes to identify the service location of all hospice levels of care.

9/26/06 - The rates for Hospice services will increase by 1% for dates of services and and after October 1, 2006.

12/22/05- CMS has made changes to the billing codes for this program.  HRSA is updating our fee schedule to match the codes of CMS.  Revisions will be effective for dates of service on and after January 1, 2006.  Changes may include additions, deletions and changes of descriptions.  Depending on the changes there may also be changes to some rates and policy.

10/28/05 - New November 1, 2005 Rates were published in the Billing Instruction

7/18/05 - Rates will be reviewed for a November 1 2005 effective date.

1/05 - MAA is updating the WAC related to Hospice.
