HRSA budget details
Information about the current budget for HRSA and how it was developed

HRSA’s budget for the 2009-11 biennium as proposed by Governor Gregoire on December 18, 2008, totals $10.4 billion – 53.9 percent of the total DSHS budget of $19.3 billion.

An HRSA analysis of the Governor’s budget is available to HRSA stakeholders.

The Governor’s budget is the first real milestone in the development of the 2009-11 state budget. Legislators will come together on both House and Senate versions of the budget package before consolidating them in a final Conference budget.

That budget then must be signed by the Governor before taking effect.

Governor Gregoire also released a Supplemental Budget for state government on December 18, 2008. The Supplement budget covers the remaining months (January through June 2009) left in the current fiscal year. The Supplemental Budget follows the same process in the Legislature. An analysis of the Governor’s Supplemental Budget for HRSA is included in the 2009-11 breakdown above.
